Hi! My name is Allison Emery and I am your Placenta Encapsulation Specialist as well as the owner and operator of Blessed Beginnings Wellness, LLC! I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Community Health in 2005, moved to Colorado in 2006, and met the man of my dreams in 2007! We each brought a child to the relationship and have since had two more together. I’ve spent 2 years as a caseworker with Children’s Protective Services, and the last 6 years as my husband’s Office Manager while helping him build his dream business of owning his own automotive repair facility. Now that his business is thriving and our children are getting older, I’ve been able to take a huge step back and focus on my own dreams, which include women’s health and wellness, particularly helping women find natural peace during their postpartum period through placenta encapsulation and related services.
As a woman who suffered from postpartum disorders with my first two pregnancies, I found that placenta encapsulation was a Godsend in my final pregnancy and I wished I had tried it sooner! My third child was born 5 weeks before her due date and spent 7 days in the NICU. This took a toll on my emotions; as did returning home to a house that I didn’t feel was ready for a preterm newborn. I hadn’t nested yet! I remember lying in my bed with my brand new daughter, feeling overwhelmed and tearful, just fighting off those baby blues. I reach for my capsules, and within 30 minutes of my first dose, I was out of bed, moving around my house, and actually laughing – yes, laughing – and cleaning up! I experienced such a welcome rush of natural energy and happiness and I knew then I wanted to share my experience with as many other mothers as I could.
I decided to pursue placenta encapsulation certification to become properly trained on the process of encapsulation and understand why it might be beneficial to the new mother. I have completed my training program with Placenta Benefits and am working toward additional certification with the Association of Placenta Preparation Arts (APPA).
I have also obtained certification as an herbalist through The Herbal Academy of New England, and am continuing on for higher level credentials. In addition, I have obtained two food handler’s licenses, through ServSafe and Tri-County Health Department, and OSHA Standard Bloodborne Pathogens Certification for Placenta Encapsulation Specialists. I want you to feel confident in your decision to allow me to encapsulate your placenta and trust that it will be handled safely and professionally. After all, I will only have one chance to get it right – unless you are lucky enough to have twins!
I can be reached by email at Allison@BlessedBeginningsWellness.com or through call or text at 720-980- 1562. I look forward to meeting you and helping you enjoy your “baby moon!”
